THE BENEFITS OF MEDIATION
Mediation is procedurally fair for both participating parties. It is entirely private and avoids unwelcome publicity. In any mediation, there is a minimum of three participants working to resolve the dispute — the two parties and the mediator. It is to the benefit of all three that the dispute is resolved quickly, efficiently with outcomes that are both satisfactory and final for both parties.
For both disputing parties, mediation is a forum to tell a story, to state perspectives, to get an insight into the other side’s point of view, to clear up misunderstanding or confusion and to be heard and understood.
